Just wanted to join the fun. Recently purchased a '97
Savage and can't believe I waited so long to get another bike (about 20 yrs). One of the guys I work with talked me into looking at bikes and had several
recommendations on starter types. The size, power(or lack of),weight, handling, and belt drive all fit neatly with his suggestions. Not to mention the price.
I've had it for about 2 months now and put on about
500 miles. I added the luggage rack from HighwayHawk
and as advised on this sight, it was a large pain to install. Thanks for the tip about taking the rack apart. Also as advised by friends, family, and several people here, took a motorcycle safety course(highly recommended to all) at a local Jr. College. If there is anyone in the Houston area, drop a line.
